It's been a week since I finished my driving classes and I feel I have already met my goal. After thinking and talking to my friends about the independent project I have realized that this is not what I want my independent project to be. I think that in the end of the semester there was a misunderstanding, in my part, about the concept of this project. I choose something that I wasn't truly passionate about or extremely proud of to do. I see the value on doing driving lessons. I have a purpose, a why, but I don't think that this is something I want to pursue as an independent project.
The independent project is more about something you've always wanted to do, a project you design yourself, it has a purpose and a product that you are excited and proud to produce. Now that I am clear about the independent project I realized that if I am dedicating so much time in a project I want to make something I am proud and passionate about.

I was thinking about different things I like and things I've wanted to do so I could expand and deign a project. So I thought about maybe doing a photography internship or independent project. For the past semester I've been very engaged in photography and I feel that this project will give me the opportunity to grow as a photographer and learn more skills. I've set up a meeting with Gabriel Barreto tomorrow so I could brainstorm with him for project ideas or internship since he is experienced in the field and has contacts, he will be a great mentor. Tomorrow I'll figure out everything and have a better project.
