Today we took the time to discuss the efficiency of the production of videos for Story Time. We realized that group work is not helping us because we all need to learn to film, edit and plan. Also we realized that the person who plans it has a completely different vision than the one who films it and edits it, so in order for the video to come out good the producer (person who plans it) must be with the other people all the time, while filming and editing. Otherwise the video comes out very weird since the perspective changes through different people.
As we were discussing we realized that it was better for the group to help each other film different events but each one of us had to produce a video otherwise we were going to have this problem of perspective and also by working independently we would all learn to plan, film and edit a video.
Video making is an important technique since even though we might only consider it as a hobby it is actually very useful when it comes to business. People love watching videos, many prefer watching videos than reading things. Therefore if a company wants to sell itself effectively it is more successful to do a video because it grabs the attention of a wider audience. Also video is very useful since it's a great to tell stories, and as talked about previously story telling is one of the most important skills needed for business. People want to hear stories and we want to find the most effective way to tell them and speed them around.
