TECHO
Even though I am not Peruvian I love this country I feel like it has so many wonderful things; but also behind those beautiful houses and building we face reality, poverty. The reason I am part of TECHO is not only because I want to fight this but because the remarkable feeling and happiness you get while sharing and giving a family a home. I’ve been involved in TECHO for about three years now and I’ve been part of three builds and many fundraising activities. I love TECHO club because it allows me to share with different people who want to help like me, members of TECHO and Techo Club, and also because it allows me to be part of different families that even though they have a different economic status they offer great things like love, happiness or simple smiles which truly fulfills me. In TECHO I am able to experience and learn things that no one in the world can show me. For me getting to build a house is a true privilege because the satisfaction it gives me when sharing with the family and giving them a home to live, it makes me feel really happy.

CUNA CARMELITAS
Four years ago a group of friends and I found a small kindergarten in the poor areas in Lima. Ever since I got there I feel in love with the kids and the kindergarten. My friends and I fundraised to rebuild one of their classrooms and we donated furniture, toys and many things to make their learning environment better. Then for my personal project I continued to visit them and I created a mural with the kids, in the classroom we had rebuild, which represented their each one of their dreams and things they look forward to achieving in life. I made every kid paint a star, representing their dreams and goals, and with all the stars I created a rainbow. I left this mural as a gift to the kids and I continue to visit them and help them with donations so they can have a nice learning area.
